I have always wanted to make my own bread and since I have never owned a bread maker I thought this recipe would be too difficult to make. However, I found on the Thermomix Recipe Community an easy Sourdough recipe that was super cheap to make (about $1.50 a loaf) and only took 1 1/2 hours with only 35 mins cooking time. This is a pic of my loaf. A very proud moment in my kitchen. Medium Poppet even helped by brushing the loaf with salt water.

We then headed off on a family picnic and stopped by the Farmer's markets to pick up some fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs for the next recipes on my list. This box of cost $22. What a bargain... and for those of you who know me, I only buy things on special!! Will post some of the delicious foods that I have made wit these fresh ingredients soon.
The boys devoured the bread that I made and asked if they could take it to school. Definitely a winner!
